Welcome back to the Sweet Stampede Blog Hop. This month our theme is flowers and I am using the Pop of Petals bundle from the 2018-2019 Annual Catalog. I have actually only had this set for a couple of weeks but have sure enjoyed playing with it. There are a bunch of different flowers to choose from that coordinate with the punch and also a butterfly!
I paired the floral line image with some fun colors from our brights collection. Gorgeous Grape, Coastal Cabana and Granny Apple Green.
This was a quick and easy card to put together. Hope you'll give it a try...
- Cut a piece of Whisper White thick cardstock to 4 1/4" x 11" and fold in half.
- Cut a piece of Gorgeous Grape cardstock to 5 3/8" x 4 1/8" and layer onto the card base.
- Cut a piece of Coastal Cabana cardstock to 5 1/8" x 3 7/8" and emboss with the Dynamic Lace embossing folder. Adhere this to the card using liquid adhesive for a nice strong hold.
- Cut a piece of Whisper White cardstock with the second largest oval in the Stitched Framelits. Stamp the sentiment from the Friendly Espressions stamp set in Gorgeous Grape ink. This piece is adhered to the embossed layer using dimensionals.
- Stamp your choice of floral images on Gorgeous Grape cardstock twice and on the coordinating color of the Bold Brights designer series paper twice. I used the punch to cut these out and layered together with dimensionals. I then stamped the leaf on Whisper White cardstock in Granny Apple Green ink and cut those out. I then attached them to the back of the flowers and layered the flowers onto the card front with dimensionals.
- Tie a bow with the Whisper White Tulle ribbon and place on the card with a glue dot.
- Add some pearls to the center of your flowers.

ReplyDeleteI love these color combos! I would never have thought to put them together, but they are so fun and vibrant. I definitely need to venture beyond my color comfort zone and try this combo.
