Dandelion Wishes

Dandelion Wishes is one of the sweetest new stamp sets in the new Stampin' Up! Annual Catalog.  I decided to plan my July classes around this set and this is one of the cards I came up with. I'm so happy how it turned out...
it was actually very simple!

I started with a piece of Whisper White cardstock cut to
3 - 3/4" x 4".  On this piece I stamped the circle background from the Bokeh Dots stamp set in Balmy Blue and then stamped the group of 3 dandelions from the Dandelion Wishes stamp set on top of the dots in the Tuxedo Black ink pad.  I layered the white cardstock on top of the black piece that measured 5 - 1/4" x 4 " with the snail adhesive and then tied the ribbon in a knot along the bottom of the white piece.  I then adhered that to the Balmy Blue card base.  The Sentiment is stamped in the black ink on whisper white and cut out with the third largest stitched circle and layered on a balmy blue scalloped circle.  Lastly I added a few rhinestones to the center of the dandelions.  It's a cute, simple,
quick to come together card! Hope you enjoy it...

Butterflies!

I've got one more card to share with the Abstract Impressions bundle...this set makes up a beautiful card so easily!  There are so many different colors featured in the designer series paper and you can get such a different result with every piece you use.

With this card I used the Calypso Coral card stock as my card base and layered a piece of Soft Sea Foam on top of that.  I love the Soft Sea Foam because it can be used instead of the white or vanilla as a stamping base color.  Then I added a layer of the Garden Impressions Designer Series Paper cut to 3 7/8" x 3 7/8" to the top portion of the card.  I did attach a strip of the Soft Sea Foam under the Calypso Coral butterfly, that was cut with the matching thinlits, just to give it a little pop.  I stamped my favorite saying from the stamp set on a Soft Sea Foam stitched oval in Shaded Spruce and then layered it on a Shaded Spruce scalloped oval.  These pieces were added to the card with dimensionals. I also cut the cute little flower with the thinlits and popped on a few of the new Faceted Gems for an added touch.

Sweet Stampede Team Blog Hop # 004 - New Colors

Hello!  Thanks so much for joining us again for the Sweet Stampede Team Blog Hop.  This month our theme is "New Colors"....and we have a bunch of them!  I don't even think I could pick a favorite because they are all so fabulous!  So let's just say for today my favorite combo is Lovely Lipstick, Shaded Spruce, Granny Apple Green and Soft Sea Foam.

I decided to play with the new Tropical Escape Suite.  This gorgeous suite caught my eye the first time I opened the new Annual Catalog at OnStage in April.  So fun and so bright!  I started my card by just picking a piece of the coordinating designer series paper and going from there.  I like the way it turned out.  The greens compliment each other nicely and I used the new InColor Lovely Lipstick to give the flowers a nice pop.  I used the Tropical Thinlits dies to cut out the different leaves in the Shaded Spruce and Granny Apple Green cardstock and layered them behind the sentiment.  The flowers were stamped and then die cut and I attached them with dimensionals. Of course I needed to add a few rhinestones to the centers to of the flowers.
You can never have enough bling!

Well thanks so much for taking the time to stop by....your next stop will be the super talented Trisha Magnus. I'm sure you will enjoy her wonderful project!
