Making Christmas Bright

Happy Wednesday! I've been working on my projects for my Christmas card Stamp-A-Stack classes this week and wanted to share one of the cards I made with the Making Christmas Bright bundle. The little lights are so adorable and having a punch to cut them out is brilliant! It's a pretty simple card to put together so I won't bore you with the directions. The colors I used are Poppy Parade and Granny Apple Green with a touch of Daffodil Delight. The tops of the lights and the accent circle are both cut from the Sparkle Glimmer paper. For the flagged panel in the back I used the Santa's Workshop designer series paper but you could easily use the brights DSP. Either would work well!

This was a quick, sweet little card to put together. Definitely wouldn't be hard to make a bunch for Christmas this year!

If you place an online order for $30 or more using this hostess code  I will send you a gift of 5 handmade cards!  If that orders totals $50 or more before tax and shipping you will also receive a free packaged embellishment!

Sweet Stampede Team Blog Hop # 007 - Anything Fall

Welcome back to the Sweet Stampede Blog Hop!
This month is all about Fall.

My project is an 8" x 8" Fall sampler using the Falling For Leaves bundle from the new Holiday 2018 catalog. I just love the  Detailed Leaves thinlit dies and the stamp set is so pretty. It's just perfect for fall! The frame is a shadowbox so it has lots of room for layers and embellishment. This particular one came from Michaels.

I started with an 8" x 8" piece of Crumb Cake card stock as my background. The Crushed Curry square in the top left corner measures 4-3/4" x 4-3/4". The patterned paper layer is 4-1/2' x 4-1/2".  I used the woodgrain pattern from the Country Lane Designer Series paper. I embossed the Silver Foil paper using the Tin Tile embossing folder and then layered on the leaves that I stamped and die cut and the panel with the word Fall. I added one of the cute galvanized clips and the braided linen trim bow.

The Crushed Curry base card stock for the top right piece measures 2-1/4" x 4-3/4". I used another strip of the Blackberry Bliss patterned paper and cut the decorative edge in Cajun Craze to use as the next layer. More stamped and die cut leaves added with dimensionals finished of this panel nicely.

The bottom section of Crushed Curry also measures 4-3/4" x 2 1/4". The coordinating piece of pattern paper measures 4-1/2" x 2". I stamped this beautiful sentiment from the Country Home stamp set in Garden Green but you could certainly use one from the Falling For Leaves stamp set also. I die cut the large leaf in Blackberry Bliss and then attached a galvanized button with a glue dot and added a linen thread bow. The right lower square is just a piece of Crushed Curry cut in a 2-1/4" square with a piece of designer series paper cut at 2" square. The paper was so pretty I really didn't think it needed any extra embellishments to finish it off. I hope you enjoyed this project...

Next up you will find my talented friend Trisha...she makes the prettiest things!!!

Sweet Stampede Team Blog Hop # 006 - Coloring

Welcome back to the Sweet Stampede Blog Hop. This month it's all about coloring! My personal favorite coloring tools are the new Stampin' Blends. I just love how easy they are to use. I decided to create my card with the Animal Outing stamp set from the Annual Catalog.

I colored the rhino with the different shades of the Smoky Slate Stampin' Blends and the sweet little bird with the Rich Razzleberry. I love that the blends have two different sized tips so I could dab a little of the Daffodil Delight color on the bird's tiny beak. I added a touch of Old Olive to the ground and then just some Wink of Stella to the rhino horn.

This card was easy to put together with the fun new Animal Expedition designer series paper, the Layered Leaves Dynamic embossing folder (definitely one of my favorite embossing folders) and the cute Leaf ribbon! It's so great that Stampin' Up! gives us such perfectly coordinating products!

Hope you enjoyed what I had to share. Next up is my friend Tiffany....I can't wait for you to see her wonderful project! Thanks so much for stopping by!
