Framed Daisy Lane

This week I decided to spend some time playing with the Daisy Lane bundle and see what kind of fall projects I might be able to come out with.

I had seen some really fun home decor projects recently and decide to give it a try for myself. I found some photo frames at Hobby Lobby that I thought could use a little jazzing up! I loved the metal "Blessed" across the bottom of the frame, so just started playing with my Regals 6" x 6" designer series paper pack and some punches and went about decorating the top half. Layers, layers and more layers! Some stamped in tone on tone color onto card stock and some just punched. I used both sizes of the daisy punches to cut out the flowers and glue dots to layer them together. I punched leaves out of Old Olive card stock and designer series paper and attached them to the back of my fall themed daisies. I also used the Wild Rose dies to cut the other leaves that I also attached with glue dots.

The centers of the flowers are the Gold Faceted Gems and I thought they added a nice touch. Everything was attached to the frame with more glue dots and dimensionals. I had some old white burlap type ribbon that I glued down onto the photo clip. I was really pleased with how it turned out! This is going to be a fun class to offer in September.

Hope you like my project and thanks for stopping by...

Another Cute Walrus!

So sometimes when I get a new stamp set I like to search Pinterest for layout ideas. I came across a cute card by Heather Holbrook from craftgossip.com and decided to put my spin on it. You can see her card here

Again I used the High Seas embossing folder but this time used the new Noble Peacock Foil Sheets. WOW!!  I just loved the way it came out. I also added a layer of vellum card stock, that I also embossed for a little bit of interest.

But seriously, I don't think these little walrus could be any cuter! So easy to color with the blends and on these guys I actually added a tad bit of Wink of Stella for fun. You can never have too much bling...even on a walrus!

Card Measurements:

  • Whisper White Thick Card Base cut to 4-1/4" x 11", folded at 5-1/2"
  • Basic Gray card stock cut to 4" x 5-1/4"
  • Noble Peacock Bermuda Bay Foil Sheet cut to  3-3/4" x 5", run through High Seas embossing folder
  • Vellum cardstock cut to 3" x 4-1/4" and also run through the High Seas embossing folder
Hope you enjoyed my card and this fun We'll Walrus Be Friends stamp set! All of the supplies used to make this card are listed below. If you place a $50 order in my online store using my August host code 2CTVHCGB you will receive a special gift in the mail as my thank you!

We'll Walrus Be Friends

For our team swaps this month the theme was Color Trios. I had decided I wanted to use the We'll Walrus Be Friends stamp set so the colors I chose were Smokey Slate, So Saffron and Balmy Blue. Of course I thought the High Seas embossing folder was a perfect match with these cute images. I love the walrus but isn't that little fish just too adorable?

As you can see this card is fairly simple and doesn't need much explanation. I did color the epoxy droplets with the Balmy Blue Stampin' Blends to give them a little more color.

Card Measurements:

  • Smoky Slate card base cut to 4-1/4" x 11", folded at 5-1/2"
  • Whisper White card stock cut to 4" x 5 - 1/4"
  • So Saffron card stock cut 3-1/8" x 4-1/8"
  • Balmy Blue card stock cut to 3" x 4" and run through the High Seas embossing folder
All of the supplies I used to complete these projects are listed below. If you place an order in my online store for $50 or more and use my Hostess Code 2CTVHCGB you will receive a special gift from me!
