Sweet Stampede Team Blog Hop # 006 - Coloring

Welcome back to the Sweet Stampede Blog Hop. This month it's all about coloring! My personal favorite coloring tools are the new Stampin' Blends. I just love how easy they are to use. I decided to create my card with the Animal Outing stamp set from the Annual Catalog. 

I colored the rhino with the different shades of the Smoky Slate Stampin' Blends and the sweet little bird with the Rich Razzleberry. I love that the blends have two different sized tips so I could dab a little of the Daffodil Delight color on the bird's tiny beak. I added a touch of Old Olive to the ground and then just some Wink of Stella to the rhino horn.

This card was easy to put together with the fun new Animal Expedition designer series paper, the Layered Leaves Dynamic embossing folder (definitely one of my favorite embossing folders) and the cute Leaf ribbon! It's so great that Stampin' Up! gives us such perfectly coordinating products!

Broadway Birthday!

Happy Friday!  I hope you all are looking forward to the weekend because I certainly am! I wanted to share a really fun, simple card that I made up this last week. I used the Broadway Birthday Bundle with the coordinating Designer Series paper. The paper is so fun!  

I started with a half sheet of the Lemon Lime Twist card stock folded in half for my card base. I layered a piece of the candle designer series paper on top, cut to 4" x 3".  I cut a piece of Whisper White card stock to 4 1/4" x 2" and ran it through my Big Shot in the Scattered Sequins embossing folder.  I love the texture that the embossing folders give, I use them with most of the cards that I make.  I then layered that on a piece of Basic Black card stock  and attached it the the card with my snail adhesive.  The word "Wish" was cut out of Lovely Lipstick card stock with the Broadway Lights Framelits and attached with mini glue dots. The little party hats were also cut out from the designer series paper using the Framelits.  How clever is that!!! I also attached those with glue dots and then stuck some of the metallic pearls on top for a little bling!  The sentiment "Make A" was stamped directly onto the card base and "It's Your Birthday" was stamped onto the Whisper White card stock and cut out with the Classic Label punch which is my go to punch for sentiments.  I layered that on the designer series paper with some mini dimentionals.  So that's it....easy peasy!  A fun birthday card that goes together very quickly.
