October Sweet Stamped Blog Hop

Welcome to the October Sweet Stampede Blog Hop! This month we are creating with our favorite colors for fall.

This is one of the cards I designer for my fall card class and I just love it! The Beautiful Pumpkins bundle goes so well with this fun plaid paper from Gathering Together Specialty Designer Series Paper.

The design uses up some of those paper scraps we all have too!! I think I first saw this layout used by Patty Bennett and just loved it.

My pumpkins are stamped in Cajun Craze and Crushed Curry ink. It's too step stamping so easy to show all the nice dimension. Also the die cuts included are so fun and intricate. They really take the project to the next level. I'm adding the measurements below so you can give this fun layout a try. I did adhere the strips of DSP to the layer of Old Olive cardstock and then ran that through the Stampin' Cut & Emboss machine with the Gathering Leaves embossing folder to give it a fun look. I love that technique!

Measurements:

  •  Crumb Cake cardstock  4-1/4" x 11", folded in half (card base)
  •  Old Olive cardstock layer: 3-7/8" x 5-1/8"
  •  Designer Series Paper layer (plaid pattern x 2 cuts) 1" x 3-7/8"
  •  Designer Series Paper layer (white and gold pattern x 2 cuts) 1" x 2-5/8"
  •  Basic White cardstock 1-1/2" x 2-3/4", center block of card front

Adhere the pieces of DSP to the Old Olive cardstock layer leaving a small border between each strip and the edges of the cardstock. Adhere the remaing piece of Basic White cardstock to the center. Run through the embossing folder to add some dimension and then adhere to your card front. Decorate as desired!!!

I hope you enjoyed this project! Please check out the next stop on the blog hop with Patti.  She always has something fun to share!
