June Sweet Stampede Blog Hop

Welcome to the June Sweet Stampede Blog Hop! This month we are using our favorite bundle to complete this sketch challenge!

This month I am playing with one of my new favorite bundles - Party Piggy! I needed some kids birthday cards and decided to give it a go with this challenge. 

For this fun card I used the Around It All Dies to cut the circles for the background out of the Celebrations Expressions Memories & More Card Pack and layered them on the Balmy Blue embossed background (Mini Corrugated Embossing Folder). I stamped the two pieces for the party pig image in Basic Gray ink on Bubble Bath cardstock and cut out with the coordinating dies. I used my Bubble Bath and Smoky Slate Stampin' Blends to do a bit of coloring. 

The cute party hat and little flag are also stamped from the Party Piggy stamp set in Memento ink and colored with Daffodil Delight, Bubble Bath and Balmy Blue Stampin' Blends. Dies for both images are included in the bundle. 

I adhered the body of the pig to the embossed background with Stampin' Dimensionals and then added his head with a WOBBLER. 

The sentiment is also included in the stamp set and added to finish up this cute birthday card. BUT it's not completely done until we add some fun bling!! The Starburst Sequins were the perfect addition.

May Sweet Stampede Blog Hop

Welcome to the May Sweet Stampede Blog Hop! This month is both a sketch and a color challenge!

This month I am introducing one of the new Online Exclusive Bundles called Sunrise Sailing! A fun, new all occasion bundle that is great for masculine cards. Our theme this month also included some of the new In Colors. Timid Tiger, Darling Duck and Secret Sea. I also added some of the new Cloud Cover. 

For my background I used the Timid Tiger and Darling Duck cardstock on some the clear Window Sheets to do the Floating Cardstock Technique. If you look really close you can make it out. It was a little hard for me to photograph. I placed my strips across a 3-3/4" x 5" piece of window sheet and then cut it out with one of the rectangle dies from the Textured Notes Dies (currently one of my favorites)! I then popped it up on the Basic White cardstock with Stampin' Dimensionals.

The sailboat image is cut out with the coordinating dies from the Sunrise Sailing Bundle and the sentiment is stamped in Secret Sea ink. It was a really quick and simple card to put together. I hope you will give it a try!

April Sweet Stampede Blog Hop

Welcome to the April Sweet Stampede Blog Hop! We are back doing a sketch challenge again this month!

My project this month uses the Storybook Moments Designer Series Paper Pack and a sentiment from the Storybook Friends stamp set. 

This time I followed the sketch almost exactly as shown. I really liked it and didn't feel the need to make any big changes. That is what is so great about using sketches when designing your cards. 

And how cute is that little squirrel??? This Designer Series Paper comes with a whole sheet of cute critters to add to your cards and other projects. 

I used a scenic print piece of the DSP so it was placed on the Pecan Pie cardstock in pattern order after I cut the strips. The Lost Lagoon banner was cut in half down the middle and adhered to the card front so the banner ends lined up with the outside edges of the DSP.

March Sweet Stampede Blog Hop

Welcome to the March Sweet Stampede Blog Hop! We are doing a color challenge this month using some of my favorite bright colors!

My project this month showcases some new product from the Online Exclusives.  It's called the All Around Bundle and it is so much fun!! The stamp set includes some bold sentiments and cute images and has a die set that include some of these cool wonky circles. It's a layering die set with 12 different sizes of these crazy circles from 3/4" to 5-1/2" in diameter. They would be perfect for scrapbooking some cute kids photos for sure!

I decided to go with the baby theme in the stamp set. There are not any dies that cut out the small images but they are really easy to tackle with a pair of snips. The colors we used are Daffodil Delight, Melon Mambo and Granny Apple Green. Did I tell you I LOVE the Brights? 

This card was so simple to make. I embossed the largest circle with the Dotted Circles 3D embossing folder and after I adhered that to the card front I just kept cutting and layering the different circles. 

I added BABY in some Granny Apple Green glimmer baby just because glittery letters are fun! Below is a close up of how cute the little baby bottles are and how simple they are to cut out.

February Sweet Stampede Blog Hop

Welcome to the February Sweet Stampede Blog Hop! We are doing a sketch challenge this month!

My project this month showcases some new product from the January Scrapbooking Brochure! I'm using the Everyday You and Me Bundle along with the Everyday Happiness Designer Series Paper. I love the combination of Lost Lagoon, Pretty Peacock and Wild Wheat in this DSP and I used the same colors to stamp the floral images for my card front.

As you can see this was a pretty simple card and I did make a couple of changes to the sketch layout. I love a good sketch and use them often as a starting point when designing the cards for my classes. If you haven't used one before you should give it a try! The nice thing about sketches is that you get to interpret them how you want so just have fun with it.

January Sweet Stampede Blog Hop

Welcome to the new Sweet Stampede Blog Hop! The theme for this month is New Mini Catalog!

My project showcases the Memorable Blooms Bundle (#164826) from the new January - April 2025 Mini Catalog. It is a gorgeous new floral line art stamp set with really pretty sentiments that cover a bunch of different occasions. The coordinating dies cut out the floral images and there are also some extras that will add some really cool interest to your cards.

I used the large hexagon shaped die that is included to cut out the portion of the front of the card. I adhered an embossed piece of Fresh Freesia cardstock to the back side of the card front to fill in the opening. The Basic White die cut is another fun die included and I added that with small dabs of liquid glue to the front of the card.

The large floral image was stamped in Memento Ink and then I used my Light and Dark Fresh Freesia Stampin' Blends to color the flowers and the Light and Dark Old Olive Stampin' Blends for the leaves. I like to use a little bit of Wink of Stella on my images to add some sparkle and sometimes it helps even out the coloring too. I love that there are some coordinating dies to cut out the images plus a fun greenery die cut that I adhered in Old Olive cardstock to the front of the card behind the floral image.

I added a heat embossed sentiment to the card as well as some of the new Purple Adhesive-Backed Sequins you can find in the new Sale-A-Bration Brochure that are FREE with a $60 purchase. Of course we needed a bow to finish it all off! I hope you enjoy the card I've shared. I thought it turned out quite lovely and can't wait to get it in the mail this week.
